LA PERTUSA TRAIL

La Pertusa trail.

“The feeling you can fly and that everything is possible” is what people feel when they reach the Pertusa hermitage.

La Pertusa is a Roman chapel, next to a ruined castle at the top of a cliff.

A spectacular viewpoint over the Canelles reservoir and the Noguera Ribagorçana river, it’s also a great place for birding and seeing birds in flight such as golden eagles, peregrine falcons, vultures and bearded vultures.

It sits above the village of Corçà, reached via a narrow road, but that is suitable for vehicles. At the end of the road where you can leave the car and climb the rest of the way up to the hermitage, a 15 minute walk. The car park has an exit towards the Congost de Mont-rebei , passing the Great Road Nº1.

We recommend a visit as a starting point for the Congost de Montrebei trail.
